Cross Creek Church in Colleyville, Texas had a unique challenge: turn a 300-seat outdoor pavilion into a flexible overflow space for services, ministry events, and community concerts.
The system had to be easy to set up, adaptable to a wide range of events, and deliver powerful, focused audio that feels personal—even in the wide-open dynamics of an outdoor space.

Outdoor environments bring their own set of challenges.
Every piece of equipment had to be weatherproof, secure, and intuitive. On top of that, visibility in full sunlight was a must. To cut through daylight glare, we specified Vanguard outdoor-rated LED screens for clear, high-impact visuals—no matter the time of day.
With no walls to contain the sound, we turned to smart audio control. A cardioid subwoofer from d&b audiotechnik kept energy focused toward the audience while minimizing spill into surrounding neighborhoods. To address the concrete’s highly reflective nature, we used d&b cardioid speaker technology and carefully mounted them at steeper angles—keeping reverb in check while maintaining clarity.

To keep things clean and protected, we worked with the architects to design a custom sliding door system that locks over the LED screen when not in use and acts as a polished backdrop when open.
Behind the scenes, we tucked all supporting gear into a dedicated tech room behind the central screen, keeping the space sleek, secure, and functional from every angle.
