The Vision
Nappanee Missionary was experiencing growth and the need to upgrade the AVL systems was following close behind. Their vision was to have an energy efficient, flexible worship center that would honor the feel of their traditional room while having a modern look. Their biggest goal was to have a space where people could hear and communicate clearly.
Designing the Vision
The team at CSD met with the staff at NMC for several programing sessions. Pulling from previous award winning CSD projects and the latest trends, we were able to bring new and effective ideas to support their vision. 3D speaker and lighting layouts were used to provide a virtual view from every seat in the room to ensure unobstructed sight lines and perfect audio coverage were accomplished before onsite system deployment.
Executing the Vision
The final product of this 1,300 seat sanctuary is stunning. Along with audio, video, and lighting upgrades, one of the main focuses was on custom stretch acoustics. These acoustics add not only function to the room but a visual appeal as well. The use of lighting was key to creating an immersive environment that blurs the line between the platform and the congregation, encouraging audience participation. Another key feature is the inductive hearing loop system, allowing those with hearing loss to have a better worship experience.
