Wes Wakefield
Engineer

Wes has always been wired for both music and mechanics. A musician first and engineer by degree, he found his sweet spot at the intersection of performance and precision. What started as live sound gigs and stagehand work in the late ’90s evolved into full-time integration—bridging creative energy with technical expertise.

His background spans touring support, technical directing at a large church in the DC area, and now more than a decade in full-time AV design and engineering. With certifications in CTS, Dante, and Q-SYS—as well as deep experience in platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp—Wes builds systems that don’t just perform; they make sense.

One of his most technically ambitious projects? Programming Q-SYS automation and tuning for Fremont Street in Las Vegas—over 400 speakers across three stages and an entire mall. It was large-scale, high-stakes, and exactly the kind of challenge Wes thrives on. Whether it’s designing around budget constraints, addressing overlooked acoustics, or finding smarter ways to integrate lighting, HVAC, and AV, he brings balance to the art AND science of performance spaces.
