Tom Lorenzen Acoustical Engineer

Job Description:
Acoustical engineering, audio and video engineering, technical power and grounding. Prepare CAD documents and overall design review of construction documents. Design supervision for audio, video, lighting, rigging, curtain and acoustical systems. Oversight and interaction with other subcontractors. Interface with MEP engineers throughout the construction process to make sure the CSD design intent is followed.

Accomplishments (Job Related):
Became a partner in an Acoustical Engineering firm after grad school in 1989. Successfully designed Acoustical and Performance Technology (AVL) projects on a national level for over 25 years. Projects include Multipurpose Performance Spaces, Auditoriums, Music Education Facilities, Sports Arena's, and Worship Facilities; along with Sound Isolation and HVAC Noise control. Prior to acoustical engineering, I was instrumental in the EMI/RFI design of the SINCGARS radio system used by the US military.

Interests:
Shooting Sports, Tent Camping, Researching Biblical history

Strange Fact/Personal Quirk:
Former member of US Shooting Team. Daughter Erin followed in my footsteps and is a current member of the US Army Rifle Team (International Rifle) and former NCAA Rifle Champion at Texas Christian University (TCU).
